A Message from the Founder

This company was born from a deep desire to reconnect with ourselves, with our rhythms, and with the quiet strength that carries us through life. The name UYI means “honor,” and that intention flows through everything we create: to move with purpose, to live with balance, and to remember who we are at our core.

In creating UYI, I wanted to create a space that reflects beauty, depth, and tradition, without saying a word. A space that embraces both stillness and strength. That holds space for people from all walks of life to come home to themselves. My wellness journey is rooted not only in personal healing but also in my professional path. With a Master of Public Health (MPH), I have spent over a decade working in health policy alongside organizations committed to supporting vulnerable communities - those facing poverty, homelessness, mental health crises, and dependence on government programs. That experience shaped my understanding of how health is more than medical care; it’s about access, dignity, and daily rituals of self-care.

Our resources are designed to promote wellness and health. I believe that how we care for ourselves is a reflection of what we value most. That care does not end with us, but it ripples, echoing forward into our families, communities, and the generations that come after us.
